Dear Dr. Joe,
Sometimes, when I drink, I get this "funny" feeling. It's like I
lose some self-control, and I do things that I would otherwise not do. For
instance, I went to a bar to pick up some chics, and the next day I woke
up beside a guy. This is something that I have never done! Why is this
happening to me?
"Bob", Confused in Santa Barbara, California
Dear
"Bob",
What did you drink?
It sounds like this feeling is not anomaly. Is this excuse of "when I drink" a cop out? Try not drinking the next time you go out and see if the "funny" feeling comes back. Let me know what happens! |

Dear Doctor,
My roommate and best friend (Susan) is dating this new guy now. She
seems happy with him and hasn't had a boyfriend in a while, so I am glad
that she is dating someone. Here's the problem. I was with her
on the night when she first met him, and before my boyfriend came up, he
was scoping me out, not her. Every time I have seen him since then I
get the feeling that he is looking at me and he has made underhanded
comments about my boyfriend, as though trying to break my relationship up.
Also, twice now he has made plans with Susan and canceled them at the last
minute. I want Susan to be happy, but I worry that this guy is using
her. Should I tell her that I think he is after me, or should I let
her figure out that he is not a nice guy? I don't want to see her get
hurt, but I also don't want her to resent me. Searching for Answers in

Dear "Searching",
The best thing to do in a situation like this is to tell "Susan"
the truth. Then here comes the fun, this guy deserves some mind games! Sit
down with Susan and elaborate! Make sure to make it good and teach this
peice of scum a lesson!
